Mr. D. L. RICHARDSON'S Leaves in Prose and Verse, is

a Cal- cutta reprint of papers which have formerly appeared in period- icals both English and Indian. The subjects are various ; the interchange of verse and prose is agreeable ; and as the writer, though given to word-spinning, makes a copious use of anecdote in illustrating his views, and is moreover a lucid writer, Literary Leaves will enable any one in a quiet state of mind to pass a few half-hours agreeably in turning them over.
