A Bunch of Cherries. By L. T. Meade. (E. Nister.)—This

story of school life suggests the guess that Mrs. Meade has found a juvenile production stowed away in a drawer, and has given it to the world. It certainly is not up to the mark of the work by which she has made her reputation. The illustrations are fairly good, but they do not seem quite to fit the story as far as the ages of the characters are concerned. Possibly the dis- crepancy may be accounted for by the fact that the volume was "made in Germany."
