The Pones of Commons has been chiefly occupied during the

week with the discussion, or perhaps we should more truly say the obstruction, of the Tithes Rating Bill by the Opposition. On Thursday there was an all-night sitting, with constant applications of the Closure, but by 4 o'clock on Friday morning the House had got the Bill through Com- mittee. As no amendments were made there will be no Report stage, and therefore the Bill is now as good as passed.
