On the 20th, at the Falls of Gairsoppa, in the province of Caner*, Major-General Clement Hill, commanding the Mysore Division of the Madras Array ; in his 63d year. On the 22d February, at Dumfries, Mrs. Cunningham, mother of the late Allan Cunningham ; in her 95th year.

On the 26th, at Gravesend, Mr. Samuel Russell, the once celebrated comedian; is his

79th year.

On the 28th, at Tangier, E. W. A. Drummond Hay, Esq., her Majesty's Agent and
