The Tablet of yesterday makes a good suggestion, that the

funds left in the hands of the Committee for the relief of the wounded in the Franco-German war, should now be applied for the use of the wounded in the Spanish war,—of course on condition that•they be applied with absolute fairness to both aides. There must be- thousands of wretched sufferers in the north of Spain, and it is idle to keep the funds subscribed for the Franco-German war for the next war of that particular kind. Sufficient unto the day should be the charity thereof.
