Alice Corkran's "Pea Blossom" is a true story of the stage after a child's heart ; " Tom Stone and the Picture Dealer " would seem to be almost inspired by the " Christinas Carol"; " The Little Feller" has a quaint pathos that will appeal only
too closely to some readers ; Mr. J. K. Bangs's stories of " Jim- mieboy " belong to a class apart, with their weird imagination and ingenious quips and turns of phrase ; " The True Story of Patimer " is a terrible warning to fat boys ; and " Little Amplias " is a pathetic story of a boy who restores to an old couple their long-lost charity and milk of human kindness. Children will be grateful to whoever buys this book for them.
