The directors of Lewis Berger and Sons, Ltd..., recently announced a dividend of 9 per cent., making a total of 15 per cent. for the year, against 10 per cent. a year ago. This • considerable increase in the dividend is now shown to be justified by the character of the annual The com- pany made 'a net profit of £141,392as compared with £102,460 a year ago, and only £74;405 for., the preceding year. Last year's substantial increase in profits was partly due to the larger dividends included from subsidiary companies, all of which have operated at a 'profit during the year. Even after paying the greatly increased dividend, there is a carry forward' of £'109;370 as compared with £75,069 a year ago. '
