We would direct the attention of our readers to the

full report which we are enabled to publish of the addrem of the American Secretary of State to a body of American officers. We do not suppose that the officers of any country ever went into battle with nobler moral credentials than are here set forth in honest and inspiring words. The address breathes throughout a grayer of dedication. It is a thing to be treasured as well as admired.
