The result of the second meeting of the Paris Conferences

on Tuesday is, that five powers, England, France, Russia, Prussia, and Sardinia, recognise the double election of Prince Cones. Austria and Turkey hold aloof. England, as well as other powers, recommends Turkey to follow their example in recognising the Prince. Turkey, it is thought, will follow the advice. So also will Austria, in case there is no war. But Austria will make use of this recognition as a concession in the general Congress.
