The Danish Conference has been postponed to the 20th inst.,

but the German Diet has agreed to send a representative, and

selected the Saxon Minister Herr Von Baud. The circle of States is therefore complete, and it appears probable that the meeting so long promised may at last take place. Meanwhile, the Prussians, afraid of an armistice before they have taken Diippel, are pressing the siege with renewed vigour, have advanced their parallels within 200 yards of the works, and are anticipating a final assault before the 20th. The Danes seem depressed, but resolute; fresh troops are being despatched from the islands to Alsen, and there is a hope left that when it comes to the bayonet the valour and endurance of the free race may tell. Jutland is still harassed by organized robbery under the form of requisitions, and Marshal Von Wrangel has directed all peasants to take one year's firewood from 'the King's forests. That notion of conciliat- ing a conquered population by giving them licence to steal has become very general ever since Austria set the example among the peasants of Galicia.
