The Story of Our Colonies. By H. R. Fox Bourne.

(Hogg and Son.)—Mr. Fox Bourne, who is a well-known authority on this subject, gives us in the compass of a moderately-sized volume a variety of infor- mation about our colonies. It is not a practical guide for emigrants, but it may furnish those who are interested in emigration with know- ledge which may be useful to them, and of an interest both historical and political. It is dedicated, not, we presume, without a certain irony, to Lord Granville, who, if he only remain at the Colonial Office long enough, will certainly make the title of the hook obsolete.
