The League of Red Cross Societies' Conference on " The

health of Merchant Seamen," held in Norway last summer, has published its report and recommendations—it may be obtained through any Red Cross society. Anything to improve the health of our mercantile marine is, of course, of vital interest to this nation, and the recommendation that Information bureaus should be established in prominent positions at the quaysides of all the chief ports of the world is an excellent one. We trust that it will obtain international consent and be acted upon quickly.
