LEVER BROS.

Another company which has done somewhat better than might have been expected during the industrial depression is Lever Brothers. There was a moderate decline in profits, but the Company pays the full dividends on all the shares down to the 8 per cent. Preferred Ordinary, with nothing paid on the Ordinary or the Co-Partnership shares. The balance-sheet shows a strong position as regards cash, but the Company's Reserve is a very small one, having regard to the huge capital.
