The bad cops slug the innocent, and the good cops slug the guilty, and eventually who croaked the rich and lovely nympho is made clear, and the good cops go to their reward: political advancement in the free and democratic State of Georgia. Corruption in American police forces has this to be said for it. it makes for good, brutal, angry, exciting reading, and this is an excellently brisk example of its familiar kind.
