As the Duke de Nemours was walking on the deck

of the vessel which conveyed him from Gibraltar to Havre, (for be took a cir- cuitous voyage from Africa to France,) his foot slipped, and he fell, breaking his left arm just below the shouldet. The fracture is said to have been an ugly one. The Duke reached Paris on Sunday.

The project of steam communication with India through the Red Sea has been successfully accomplished, and is now in operation. The last communication was effected in forty-three days, including the stoppage at Alexandria.— Times.
