The peculiar interest attaebe.I to the Earl DURHAM'S Report on

the Afthiro of British North America, and its vast importance as the basis of future legislation, pre. chided the ilea of dealing with it as with an ordinary state paper, by vray of abstract or description of the contents ; an.1 we found it necessary, in order to do Justice to the subject, to publish a Supplement. But as the object is not the catchpenny MS of increasing a week's sale of the Spectab,r. it is published at s price (U. in addition to that of the week's Number) sufficient to cover tics cost of stumped paper and printing. Besides the Report, (at full length in the more important parts, epitomized in the rest,) the Supplement contains the most interesting portions of Lord DURHAM'S Correspondence with Lord GLESEIAL

A typographical mistakc.has been made in the heading of some of the Despatches in the Supplement. The word " extract" bits been prefixed (in two instances) where the entire Despatch Is given, and omitted (in one instance) where only part is quoted. This error the reader may easily correct fear himself. In page 19 the paper dated 16th of October is an " extract; " that of the 20th October on
