Television Statement

In our issue for the 26th January we published, a review by Peter Forster, the first paragraph of which, had it been read only as a review of the TV series to which it referred, would have been wholly innocuous. Unfortunately, however, due to circumstances unknown to us at the time, it has been misunderstood to refer to Mr. Robert Edwards, until recently acting editor of the Daily Express.

In these circumstances we wish to take this, the first opportunity, of making it clear to our readers that we certainly had no intention what- soever of referring to Mr. Robert Edwards to whom we tender our sincere apologies for any annoyance caused to him.

Mr. Peter Forster is at present abroad and we have been unable to refer to him, but we feel sure that had we been able to do so. he would have wished to be associated with this statement.
