India and the Nagas

Sir: Having over the years, spent a small fortune on postage alone, writing to Indian politicians, officials, Purr, nalists and 'activeGandhians,'here in India, protesting and giving information about the persecution of the Nagas, without receiving a single satisfactory reply (and, in ninety-nine cases out of 100, without acknowledgement!), I was naturally very pleased that The Spectator has at last (and not too soon), done its bit in drawing attention to this shameful matter. I hope that your readers will write to the Indian High Commissioner (India House, Aldwych, WC2) and ask for his comments on 'India's Unknown War.'
