In the excellent series of " Cambridge County Geographies "

(Cambridge University Press, Is. 6d.) wo have Dorset, by Arthur L. Salmon. Dorset—" shire " should not be added—is one of the smaller counties (a little less than a thousand square miles). But it has a long coastline (seventy-five miles) and in many respects it possesses an importance somewhat out of proportion to its size. Mr. Salmon makes of his subject a book that is as interesting as it is useful.
