A considerable fall in the price of wheat—namely, between five

and six shillings the quarter—occurred on Monday. Yesterday the supply in Mark Lane was scanty, and the market rather firmer ; but no advance on Monday's rates was obtained. 'Phu average price regulating duty is 73s. 6d. ; and the duty is therefore still only a shilling per quarter ; but it is almost certain that next week the average will fall below 73s., and the duty, of course, will advance. ConsiderAle quantities of wheat are on their way to this country : it is probable they must be bonded for some time ; though the general impression is that prices will advance again before next harvest.
