We regret to learn, by private letters which we have

seen from Paris, that the French Government is proceeding in its Anti-English and Anti-Free-trade policy, by making another augmentation of the duties on linen yarns. From this augmentation Belgian yarns are to be ex- empted; so that the blow at the English trade is distinctly marked.— Leeds Mercury, March 16.
