A coalition?

Sir; 'The, lion and the unicorn were When for the crown, when up jumped a little dog and knocked them both down."

h.,Who governs Britain? Why not a LtrInvirate? I envisage Jeremy Thorpe a1 prime minister; William Whitelaw vrici Roy Jenkins as joint deputy. I oted Conservative, but please let your

readers tell me What is wrong about the above suggestion — if anything. Why shouldn't we get onto a war footing? After all, we are waging war now: against inflation, against violence/vandalism/vice. During the war we had British restaurants (remember?); so why not now a British Government! The parties want their heads knocking together: I say, sink differences and buckle down to the job. munication will suffice: cinema, stage, Opposition? The media of com press, radio, TV, pulpit and platform. We are all British, aren't we?
