The fancy dress ball for the benefit of the Poles

took place at the Guildhall on Thursday night. The company was very numerous. At ten o'clock the line of carriages extended from the Post-office to the Guildh:d1, and carriages continued to arrive till midnight. The enter- tainments were varied by a concert, managed by Mr. Edward Taylor. The money paid for admission, and sent by those who could not attend, muounted to a considerable sum.
