died on Thursday last. A man of good family and considerable wealth, he was the only metropolitan member e,liad sat in the House before the Reform Bill, and almost the only one who belonged to the old Burdett school. Though .not a man of great political mark, he will be missed in the House, as a bold though eccentric speaker and uncompro- mising advocate of somewhat extreme views.
