We are glad to record the appearance of Vol. XIII.

of A Neu Varicirunt Edition of Shakespeare, edited by Horace Howard Furness (I. B. Lippincott Company, Philadelphia, U.S., 18s.) This volume contains Ttoelfe Night (for such is the original orthography). It is needless at this period to discuss the merits of Mr. Furness's edition. It is meant to be exhaustive, and comes near to its intention. Mr. Furness lays all pre- decessors under contribution, while ho subjects all that he selects for his purpose to processes of his own. There is nothing, for fulness and exhaustive treatment of the subject, to compare with the Variorum.
