you write: '. . . the inadequacy of Indian troops put Mr. Krishna Menon into the political Wilderness.' As this presumably does not refer to the numerical numbers of Indian troops, it appears to be an entirely uncalled-for libel on a body of men Whose fighting qualities are not in doubt. A fairer Comment would have been: '. . the inadequacy of Mr. Krishna Menon and his failure adequately to arm, supply, and support the Indian troops.' This is Probably what your comment was meant to convey, but it says something entirely different and com-
