Commercial Egg Farming. By S. G. Hanson. (Constable and Co.

ls. net.)—This is a practical little book by a practical man, who describes clearly his own experience in Canada and in England, and does not exaggerate the profits of the business. On an investment of £1,000, apart from a house, outbuildings, and eight or ton acres of land, ho estimates that the profit should be £150 in the second year and £300 in the third year. Mr. Hanson made his Canadian poultry farm pay, but ho came home because labour is easier to obtain in England, and he is satisfied with the results.
