SUN-DIAL INSCRIPTIONS.

[TO THE EDITOR OF THE "SPECTATOR."] Sin,—The sun-dial inscription, " Pereunt et imputantnr," quoted by Canon Hopkins in the Spectator of August 10th, is also to be seen on a sun-dial in the Temple (I think, in Inner Temple Lane). It is said in one of Dasent's novels to have been rendered by an Oxford man, showing some ladies over the Temple,—" They perish, and are not thought of."—I
