PEN NEW POEMS SIR,—For the past five years PEN anthologies

of new verse have appeared under the imprint of Messrs. Michael Joseph Ltd., and you have been kind to enough to allow me to invite your readers to submit poems for considera- tion by the editors. A sixth volume is now in preparation, the editors being Miss Kath- leen Nott, Professor C. Day Lewis and Mr. Thomas Blackburn, and manuscripts, accom- panied by a stamped addressed envelope for return, should be addressed to the Editors, New Poems: 1957. the PEN, 62/63 Glebe Place, London, SW3, before October 31, 1956. Those who wish the arrival of their manu- scripts to be acknowledged should also enclose a stamped addressed postcard. Poems which have appeared in book form cannot be con- sidered, and each poet may submit two poems only. Payment will be made for all poems accepted.—Yours faithfully,
