Black. 18.6d.) -The author begins by describing the "animal visitors in our garden," such as worms -and insects, and goes on with familiar English creatures, both tame and wild, ending with "birds and beasts abroad." He writes in a pleasant, unaffected style, and the book is full of well-arranged coloured and black-and-white illustrations.
