Brockley. 3s. 6d. net.)—Mr. Pike gives us here twenty-four illustrations of birds and their nests, taken with no little skill, and, wo should imagine, risk. The first to be represented is the "Razor Bill," taken by the help of a long rope on a ledge of the Baas Rock. Among the others are the puffin, the tawny owl (old and young), the sheldrake, the blackbird. Each picture is accompanied by a notice, evidently the work of a careful and enthusiastic observer. We hope that Mr. Pike will receive sufficient encourage:nent to suggest the continuation of so interesting a work.
