A reader of the Spectator in East Africa has written

to the editor to ask why no attention has been paid to Kenya's problems in this section. As I have previously hinted, the task of writing a summary in eight or nine paragraphs of the outstanding events in the whole English-speaking world is no easy one, and it is extremely difficult to do justice to every section of the British Empire and of the United States. Letters from readers of these notes with suggestions as to the topics likely to interest them will therefore be very welcome.
