On the 30th October, on his voyage home on board the Polctiers, Lieutenant Arthur Carrington, of the II.E.I.C. Twenty-fourth Regiment of Infantry, third son of Sir Codrington Edmund Carrington ; in his 26th year. On the 18th December, at Rome, the Rev. Henry Hartopp Knapp, Rector of Ampthill, Bedfordshire ; in his 62d year.

On the let January, at Plymouth, Mrs. Lloyd, Widow of General Vaughan Lloyd, of the Royal Artillery ; in her 83d year.

On the 6th, in George Street, Edinburgh, James Clarke, Esq., Lieutenant Bengal Na- tive Infantry, youngest son of the late Robert Clarke, Esq., of Comrle Castle, Perthshire. On the 9th, at Devizes Green, the Rev. Thomas Williams, Perpetual Curate of Wyke Champflower and Pitcomb, Somerset ; in his 45th year.
