The French Parliament has been busy in its tedious discus-

' sions of the addresses, industriously mterpellating " Ministers. The sole point of interest for us has been the production of some official correspondence relating to Texas, proving, what was as- serted at the time, that the " entente " between England and France on the subject of annexation was " cordiale ": the French diplomatists heartily joined with ours in urging the maintenance ' of Texan independence.
