NEW POEMS-1965

SIR,—The PEN anthology of contemporary poetry which has appeared annually since its inception in 1952 (except during the printers' strike of 1959) is now to be published by Hutchinson of London bi- ennially only, and contributions are now invited for the twelfth volume in the series, New Poems—I965, of which the sole editor will be Dr. C. V. Wedgwood.

I should like to invite your readers to send poems to: The Editor, New Poems-1965, PEN, 62 Glebe Place, London, SW3. A maximum of five poems may be submitted by each poet, and should be accompanied by a large stamped addressed enve- lope for the poem's return. (Those wishing their work to be acknowledged should also enclose a stamped addressed postcard.) Poems which have appeared in book form are not eligible, but work published or broadcast during 1962 or 1963 may be submitted. The closing date for entries is November 30, 1964—and contributors are reminded that they should not expect a decision as to the acceptance or non-acceptance of their work for some months thereafter.
