He left his trophies, awards and items of professional memo- rabilia, together with his books and the mahogany glass-fronted bookcase in which they are stored, to 'my friend and manager for many years', Paul Vaugh- an, of Hallow Park, Worcester, and the following items to him to retain or to distribute to others as he sees fit — his gold watch inscribed on the back 'Win- ter Gardens Margate', his gold bracelet inscribed 'Larry' on the face and 'from Steven Bartle' on the reverse, Gracie Fields's wedding ring which signified her marriage to the film producer Monty Banks, and his Roamer Swiss- made automatic watch formerly the property of Monty Banks, and £10,000 to the RNLI, specifically for the Redcar branch.
