Poems. By Alfred, Lord Tennyson. Illustrated. (Macmillan and Co.)—This is

a reprint of the illustrated edition published in

1857, prefaced by the Dedication to the Queen (dated 1851), and ending with " The Poet's Song." Those who are familiar with Tennyson editions will remember that the poems were contained

in a moderate-sized octavo of 380 pages, and were some eighty in

number, reckoning "The Daydream" as one. The illustrations were by Creawick, Millais, Holman Hunt, Mulready, Horsley, Rossetti, Stanfield, and Maclise. The republication of them is decidedly interesting, not the less so because some are of a kind which would hardly please nowadays.
