Thanks very largely to a great improvement in the export

trade, the annual report of the Salt Union is a much better one than its predecessor. The net profit for the year was 1265;078 as compared with 1217,565 for 1926. The 12-i per cent. dividend on the Ordinary shares is maintained, while the balance carried forward of 136,738 shows an increase over a year ago of more than £12,000. The balance sheet shows that the cash in hand amounted to over £274,000.
