A Midsummer Night's Dream. Decorated for Children by Mrs. Herbert

Railton. (Freemantle and Co. 5s.)—In the introduction to this book Mrs. Railton asks if children really believe in fairies, and though she regretfully thinks that the question must be answered in the negative, she begs her small readers not lightly to give up their " good neighbours." When children look at these pictures of Oberon, Titania, Puck, and the rest of them, their doubts will surely vanish, for how could the artist have drawn such charming, sprightly little people if, to quote Betsy Prig, there was " no sich person" ? The text of the play is clearly printed, the book is nicely got up and well bound, and the grIceful illustrations should make it specially attractive to children.
