SOME ILLUSTRATED BOOKS.

The Tempest. Decorated by Aiming Bell. (Freemantle and Co. 6s.)—These illustrations are characterised by appropriateness and good taste, both in the fantastic representations of Ariel and the other spirits, and in the more material forms of Trinculo and Stephano. We feel, too, that Mr. Anning Bell had no lack of material, for the pictures are full of charming details and fancies. Some illustrated books give one the impression that the artist had to rack his brains for subjects, but this is not the case here.
