Les Beiges en Exit. Par Armand Varier. (Simpkin, Marshall, and

Co. 75. W. net.)—M. Varies describes in detail the flight of the Belgian refugees to England, their efforts to organize themselves as a community, and their various activities, charitable, literary, artistic, and industrial, since they began to settle down among us to their now life. The most interesting section of his book is that in which he gives some account of the important munition works and other industrial enterprises founded by highly skilled Belgian engineers; in this country during the past three years. The assistance thus rendered by the Belgian exiles to the cause of the Allies should be better known, and M. Varleis well-written and well-illustrated book deserves attention.
