Armistice Day, Nov.11th, was again observed by a two- minutes'

silence, during which, as it were, the life of the nation paused and took thought. It seems, indeed, that the intensity of feeling with which the two-minutes' silence is each year maintained grows rather than diminishes. Nothing could have been more impressive than the scenes in London last Sunday. The two-minutes' silence is at once the simplcst and the best national memorial to the dcad.
