Grayson. 7s. 6d.)-The Hand and Dagger is a country inn, around which much of the action of this original and first-rate mystery tale revolves. A murder in a theatrical company supplies the motif. But Mr. Moore, who writes extremely well, contrives some intriguing variations upon it, and finally leaves the reader wiser than the baffled police.
