No news comes from Balmoral, except the ordinary incidents of life in that region of field sport. Prince Albert has been out deer-stalking; and the Queen has been present with him at the driving of the woods of Abergeldie for deer, and at the " leistering" for salmon in the Dee. The Duchess of Kent, as usual, has been a frequent visitor at her daugh- ter's castle.

The Duchess of Cambridge and the Grand Duke and Grand Duchess of Mecklenburg-Strelitz have been visiting at Taymouth Castle, the seat of the Marquis of Breadalbane.
