your issue of August lath gave such a very harmful and inaccurate an impression of the trial that I am led to inquire whether you are aware that the communistic or anarchistic predilections of these two criminals were introduced into the trial by their own counsel for the purpose of accounting for their carrying concealed weapons contrary to law.

Also are you aware that the trial judge instructed the jury to disregard the fact that the defendants were anarchists or Socialists ? I cannot believe that you would intentionally. publish anything which is misleading or injurious to the relations between your country and this, and this is why I call your attention to the matter.—! am, Sir, &e., HENRY C.
