Preparatory Thoughts for Good Friday. By Julia S. Blunt. (W.

Macintosh.)—This is a very good and seasonable tract. It is addressed more especially to working men, and we trust many of them will read it. They will find that the authoress is a sympathizing friend and wise counsellor. At the same time, it has for years been our feeling that it is the "religious world" which should chiefly be exhorted on Good Friday, inasmuch as it was the old religious world which, Bible in hand, perpetrated the judicial murder of which that day is the anni- versary.
