Air fares

Sir: My attention has been drawn to the letter on air fares, in your 4 August edition, and I would like to correct certain facts.

The return fare economy from London to Paris is £89.00. The June issue of the ABC World Airways Guide shows a single fare of FCU (fare construction units) 83.40 and UK £44.50. Return fares are not shown as they are twice the single fare, i.e. FCU 166.80, UK £89.00.
