TO CORRESPONDENTS.

The great length to which the Debate of the week has run compels the omission or post. ponemeut of many other things.

The paper on Turnpike Trusts will appear next week.

Several letters on the Currency lie before us; but it is very doubtful whether we shall be able to find room for any of them.

In our number of the 4th we reprinted a letter from Dr. CHALMERS to Mr. COLLINS of Glasgow, and it seems that an incorrect copy had reached us. One error is impor. taut: Dr. CHALMERS was made tosay, that he shall " now cease to lament" the substitution of poor-relief for moral agents of economical prosperity—instead of saying that he should " never cease" to lament it.
