The contest at Wimbledon between Lords and Commons ended in

a victory for the Lower House. The Lords made the score of last year, but the Commons have so much improved, that, even had there been no change in the original selections, the Peers must have been defeated. The Queen's prize was won by Mr. Roberts, scrjeant of the 12th Shropshire, who made nearly as high a score as it is possible to make. The shooting for the International was also extremely good, and the general result of the test week seems to be, that the shoot- ing generally has been wonderfully improved by the practice during the year.
