SPECTATOR COMPETITION No. 127 ,

Set by Arthur John Not everybody can run away and play on August bank-holiday. A prize of £5, which may be divided, is offered for a poem, in not more than 16 lines of English rhyming verse, expressing the bank-holiday feelings of any one of the following : a keeper at the zoo ; an engine- driver ; the office cat ; a comedian ; the Prime Minister's private secretary.

Entries must be addressed to the Spectator, 99' Gower Street, London, W.C.1, in envelopes marked "Competition," and must be received not later than July 30th. Results will be published in the Spectator on August 8th.
